A New addition to the Camera Bag!
I thought this was an appropriate time to post my first photo with my new D800E. I’ve literally been photographing everything thats anything. This is an image of an antique grandfather clock in my parents house. The image is shot at ISO 1000 and cropped in at 100% with some slight noise reduction in Lightroom 4.
An Awesome Way to End the Night
As I was driving home last night from a nonprofit Intermix StepUp event, my car began to rattle. I pulled over and checked my tire pressure they all seemed fine, maybe it was a bump. I slowly drove a few more blocks. Listening to the rattle again I pulled over again to realize my recent break repair was a total fail. The garage had forgotten to tighten the caliber and it had fallen loose! Nice! I rode home in style thanks to AAA, but now I’m stuck home for the day and getting antsy.
War, A Child’s Past Time
Playing in my backyard growing up I had a few favorite things to do: play in mud, light things on fire, smash stuff, and build things. One of my favorite activities combines all of these activities, setting up war scenes. These are my two newest images from a series I am creating with Little Green Army Men.

A Martian Landscape
Exploring the desert is an amazing thing to do, with a friend or a lone. With adventure around every corner and odd discoveries to be found, I can never explore enough. In the last two weeks I have put 2000 miles on my car driving and using nearly a tank each day. During my explorations I have found desert tortoises, joshua trees, natural arches, interesting insects, new friends and much more. Here is an example of one of the many intriguing places I have explored. Down below is my friend Michael Shainblum, who I was traveling with at the time, as well as a new friend by the name of Aaron Keigher. I’m already planning my next adventure back to this magical location.
